training and boarding (to those who are in training). In addition,
green horses, are accepted on a limited basis. You may jump ahead
to any one of these following services offered by CVR:

Lessons
Whether you ride for pleasure or show
CVR can accommodate your schedule with one of the many different packages
available. Discounts are given according to how many lessons you
sign up for. You may take up to 4 a week. Please email: carmelvalleyranch@mail.com

Horses
You do not have to own your own horse
to ride at CVR. Quality horses in training are available.
Training
Horses in training are worked a minimum
of 12 times per month, unless specified otherwise. For horse and
rider, this schedule is made up of 8 lessons and 4 training sessions.
Green or difficult horses may have a different schedule. Please note,
horses on consignment must be in training for the minimum schedule.
Boarding
Stalls or outside corrals are offered
to those in training only.
Starting the
Green Horse
From the start, the green horse is introduced
to all of the ground work needed for his basis as an under saddle horse.
He is taught to longe, round pen, long rein (ground drive), sacking, as
well as, grooming, bathing, clipping. Once the ground work is complete
the under saddle work begins. The green horse is ridden and started
over fences.
Jump Chute
Training
For over 30 years, CVR has taught their
horses to work off voice and to negotiate obstacles on their own in their
one of a kind jumping chute. The result has been proven over and
over, winning horses that don't stop and are enthusiastic
about jumping. This training feature is excellent for the stopper
or soured horse. The end result is a horse that gains confidence
about his athletic ability. This service is not included in regular
training and is offered in addition to your training. To find out
